Great News: Turkish Government Prints Bediuzzaman’s Risale-i Nur!

The government of Tayyip Erdogan has decided to print Bediuzzaman’s famous Risale-i Nur books. Signs of Miraculousness is the first book already printed in Arabic and Turkish together. This exceptional occasion was celebrated by an important group of high religious figures and government officials with Turkey’s Prime Minister, Tayyip Erdogan, including Abdullah Yegin Agabey, Mehmet Firinci Agabey and Husnu Bayramoglu Agabey on Saturday, January 25th, 2014.

Printing of the Risale-i Nur books by the Turkish government for the benefit of the public was one of Bediuzzaman’s most precious dreams. Mehmet Firinci Agabey states that in the early 1950’s Bediuzzaman requested the following three things from the government for the safety and security of the country: 1) Opening new schools where religious and modern sciences are taught together. 2) Returning the Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia) building to its original status (from the current museum back into the mosque it was). 3) Publishing the Risale-i Nur by the government for the benefit of the country.

This printing has taken over 60 years to materialize. All credits for this monumental achievement goes to the Turkish Prime Minister, Tayyip Erdogan. He understands the need of the public for the Risale-i Nur to strengthen their faith in these modern difficult times. On behalf of American Muslims, we here at the Risale-i Nur Institute of America celebrate this joyous event and offer our gratitude to the Prime Minister for realizing Bediuzzaman’s dream.
